Seidraum is about…
Seidraum is about capturing tender feelings that wrap around you. It resembles the echo of a dream you were sure to remember, yet it turns milky and elusive the moment you wake. You’re left carrying only a fuzzy trace of it through the day.
It is about wearing a secret: sensual nudes hidden within folds of silk, known only to you. A quiet thrill, like special lingerie or a hidden tattoo. It is about creating a space where the intimate parts of ourselves — the playful, the strange, the passionate, the rebellious — can stay close to us, especially when life requires seriousness and composure. A reminder worn against the skin: “This is still you”.
Seidraum is about the intimate relationship between body and silk — how silk remembers warmth, touch and even scent. How this delicate, fluid material transforms under colour into something ethereal, personal and alive.
Ultimately, Seidraum is about turning those private, vulnerable, poetic sensations into wearable art — allowing you to carry your inner world with you, softly and powerfully.
Seidraum was founded…
Seidraum was founded in Vienna, Austria. My artistic path began early — I attended an eight-year art school for young artists, where I specialized in batik for my final diploma work. Although I considered continuing at an art academy, my life took a different direction. I completed a degree in medicine and worked as a doctor, a profession that shaped my understanding of responsibility, fragility and the complexity of human experience.
Art, however, remained a constant. My work focuses on preserving fleeting emotional states — softness, vulnerability, sensuality and quiet strength — and translating them into objects that can accompany everyday life.
Rather than creating accessories for attention, Seidraum pieces are meant to be carried close: personal, reflective and enduring. I am drawn to the subtle inner moments we rarely show, yet feel most deeply. These scarves are an attempt to give those moments a form — something tangible, intimate and alive.
Wearing a Seidraum scarf is not about display.
It is a quiet reminder of who you are beneath expectation.
Bespoke & Collaborations
Some ideas arrive already shaped, others take time to unfold.
If you have a vision for a personal piece, a thoughtful customisation or a potential collaboration, I would be glad to hear from you. I occasionally take on selected projects, depending on availability and whether the idea resonates with my work.
Each piece begins with a conversation.
